Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Uptime, TLS and DNS checks for any website - no API key.

Tools

check_url — Test whether a URL is up right now: HTTP status, response time and the full redirect chain. No API key needed.
check_many — Uptime-check up to 10 URLs in one call and report how many are up, with status and response time for each.
ssl_certificate — Read a host's live TLS certificate: issuer, validity dates, days until expiry, covered names and whether the chain is trusted.
dns_health — Resolve a domain's A, AAAA, NS, MX, TXT and CAA records live and flag missing core records or a missing SPF policy.
security_headers — Grade a site A-F on the six recommended security headers (HSTS, CSP, frame options, content-type options, referrer and permissions policy).
site_report — One health report for a site: reachability and response time, TLS certificate expiry, DNS address and a clear healthy or needs-attention verdict.

Setup

No setup. Every check runs live from the server itself, so there is no key or account.

Licence — no paywall

Every tool in this package is free: no licence key, no premium tier, no hosted licence gateway. The paywall machinery this repo once carried (per-tool licence checks and paid hosted endpoints) was removed repo-wide on 2026-10-17. Nothing that this package installs or calls asks you to pay.
