Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Install AI agent skills from any GitHub repo — one command, zero config.

npx openskilled install https://github.com/vercel/next.js

Writes a production-grade SKILL.md to .agents/skills/next-js/SKILL.md in your project root. AI coding agents (Cursor, Antigravity, Claude, GitHub Copilot) automatically pick it up.

Install syntax

# Full GitHub URL (recommended)
npx openskilled install https://github.com/vercel/next.js
npx openskilled install https://github.com/openai/openai-node

# Short owner/repo path
npx openskilled install vercel/next-js

# Single slug from the registry
npx openskilled install react-query-best-practices

What happens

  1. Parses the GitHub URL (or path/slug) to find the right skill
  2. Fetches the SKILL.md from openskilled.vercel.app
  3. Detects your project root (.git, package.json, pyproject.toml, etc.)
  4. Writes to .agent/skills/<repo>/SKILL.md or .agents/skills/<repo>/SKILL.md — whichever convention your project uses
