Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

ops-cli: Build modern websites using git, markdown, yaml and other tasteful things. Made with 💗 in Shanghai.

Introduction

Open a terminal and navigate to a directory with ops.yml:

Run ops restore to restore all dependencies of the docset to the latest version.
Run ops build to build the docset, it will restore dependencies if they are restored.

Build and Test

Install .NET Core SDK 2.0
Install Nodejs 8.0.0 or later

To build the project:

npm install or npm i for short
npm run build

To test the project:

npm run test or npm t for short

you don't need to run build before running test

To test the impact of your changes against an existing content repository

npm run impact and see the git diffs in ../ops-cli-test folder
npm run impact -- <sccmdocs-pr> to see the impact on a specific repo

To publish the project:

npm run publish and see the build artifacts in bin folder
npm publish to publish the artifacts to npmjs.org
