Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Usage

Getting chord by name/notation

Use the getChordByName function to get an object containing the chord notes and bass note (if it's a slash chord).

Accepts either:

  • A string reflecting the chord name, or
  • An object containing the chord name and inversion.

Getting a chord from a set of notes

Use the getChordByNotes function to get an object containing best, exact, and possible matches given a set of notes.

Accepts an array of notes.

Use the getChordByGuitarVoicing function to get an object containing best, exact, and possible matches given a set of notes.

Accepts either:

  • An array of notes reflecting the fret played (null if muted), or
  • An object containing a tuning (array of notes from low to high), a capo (integer or null), and a notes array.
