Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Readme

PAY.nl NodeJS SDK

SDK for PAY.nl allowing you to manage your PAY.nl transactions in nodeJS

Installation

npm install paynl-sdk --save

Usage

  • Import 'paynl-sdk' in your file.
  • Register for a PAY.nl account at.
  • In the PAY.nl admin panel, navigate to Manage -> Services and click the SL-code on the left.
  • From the popup use the API token and service location ID, and configure them in the SDK.

Examples

Some of the basic examples are listed here, for the full list of examples, please take a look at the examples directory here.

All examples start with importing the paynl-sdk and creating a client using the AT token as username and the API token as password.

import { createPayNLClient } from 'paynl-sdk';

const payNL = createPayNLClient({ username: 'AT-####-####', password: '****************************************' });

Service Config

To fetch the configuration of a given service location. This can be used to create your own checkout.

const config = await payNL.Service.getConfig('SL-####-####');

Orders

Orders use the new Transaction Gateway Unit API. View the examples or online documentation for a complete overview of what is possible.

Creating an order

The most minimal request to create an order includes the service location ID and amount:

const order = await payNL.Orders.create({
    serviceId: 'SL-####-####',
    amount: {
        value: 1000, // in cents
        currency: 'EUR',
    },
});

For testing purposes you may enable the sandbox mode:

const order = await payNL.Orders.create({
    serviceId: 'SL-####-####',
    amount: {
        value: 1000, // in cents
        currency: 'EUR',
    },
    integration: {
       test: true,
    },
});

Fetching an order

After an order is created you should store its ID, which you need to fetch or change it later on. To fetch an order or just its status:

const orderId = '########-####-####-####-############';
const order = await payNL.Orders.get(orderId);
const orderStatus = await payNL.Orders.status(orderId);

Direct Debit (Incasso)

Creating a new Direct Debit

This SDK can also add direct debit transactions. In order to do so, you need to create a mandate first.

const mandate = await payNL.DirectDebit.createMandate({
    serviceId: 'SL-####-####',
    amount: { value: 1000, currency: 'EUR' },
    description: 'example description',
    type: 'FLEXIBLE',
});

const directDebit = await payNL.DirectDebit.add({
    mandateId: mandate.code,
    processDate: new Date('2025-10-10'),
    description: 'Test direct debit',
    amount: {
        value: 1000,
        currency: 'EUR',
    },
});

Fetching a Direct Debit transaction

Fetch a DirectDebit transaction to check the status.

const directDebit = await payNL.DirectDebit.get('IO-####-####-####');
