Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

What is it?

A REST API wrapper for server-side javascript applications

What is permanent?

Getting started

1. Create account on https://www.permanent.org
2. Contact us to get an API key - [email protected]

Install

This is a Node.js module available through the npm registry.

Before installing, download and install Node.js.

npm install permanent-api-js

After installing, create a file in server app root folder 
called envVars.txt. Add the API key to the file.

Tests

After downloading run the tests to see the results and learn about the interfaces.

Register with permanent.org and request an APIKEY
to see all greens.

Usage

Set your API key to the environment variable process.env.PERMANENTORG_APIKEY
var permanent = require('permanent-api-js');

or pass API key var permanent = require('permanent-api-js')('YOUR_API_KEY');
