Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Pi Pie

A pixel-art pie splash header for the Pi coding agent.

Pie Splash Screen

Install

pi install npm:pi-pie

The next TUI session gets a randomly chosen pie filling and view, animated steam, model and thinking details, the current working directory, and useful Pi commands.

Pie Collection

Pi Pie includes apple lattice, Dutch apple streusel, blueberry braid, cherry leaf cutouts, lemon meringue, pecan, and smooth orange pumpkin art. Views include a three-quarter pie, side profile, slice-removed pie, and fluted tin.

Export the gallery

Generate a self-contained HTML gallery, then open it locally:

npm run gallery -- ./docs/pie-selection.html
open ./docs/pie-selection.html

Development

npm install
npm test
npm run typecheck

Publishing

npm login
npm whoami
npm run typecheck
npm test
npm pack --dry-run
npm publish

After publishing, verify the version and install it with:

npm view pi-pie version
pi install npm:pi-pie
