Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

pi-powerline-melbourne

A compact pi footer extension with a powerline-style status line focused on context usage.

pi-powerline-melbourne footer

Install

pi install npm:pi-powerline-melbourne

Segments (left → right)

  • pi: pi icon/label
  • path: current working directory (home is shortened to ~)
  • git: current branch
  • model: selected model + thinking level (min, med, xhi, etc.)
  • context_tokens: used/window token view
  • mcp: MCP server status (connected/total)

Context warnings (default)

  • < 50%: OK (green)
  • 50% to < 70%: warning (yellow)
  • >= 70%: high usage (red)

You can also show percent by setting showPercentInContext: true in powerline-context/index.ts.

Command

  • /powerline-melbourne on|off
