Pi / Oh My Pi Stream Deck bridge

This is the shared host extension for Stream Deck OMP. It runs in both upstream Pi and Oh My Pi, publishing the active session's thinking level, current model, and authenticated model list, then handling direct model-switch requests from the Stream Deck plugin.

The package declares both pi.extensions and omp.extensions, and uses Pi's canonical @earendil-works/* type imports. Oh My Pi's compatibility loader maps those imports to its bundled host packages.

The Stream Deck layout exposes live reasoning, plan mode, model cycling, and direct model switching for both Pi and Oh My Pi.

Install in Pi

After publishing the package:

pi install npm:pi-streamdeck-omp

For local development:

mkdir -p ~/.pi/agent/extensions
ln -sfn "$PWD/plugins/oh-my-pi/src/index.ts" ~/.pi/agent/extensions/streamdeck-omp.ts

Install in Oh My Pi

From the repository marketplace:

omp plugin marketplace add luisced/streamdeck-omp

For local development:

Restart the host session after installing the extension.

Bridge contract

Both hosts use ~/.streamdeck-omp by default. Set STREAMDECK_OMP_BRIDGE_DIR to use another directory consistently for the host extension and Stream Deck. OMP_STREAMDECK_BRIDGE_DIR remains accepted as a backwards-compatible alias.

The bridge writes:

• reasoning-state.json — current session/model metadata
• focus-claim.json — the session receiving the focus-claim shortcut
• model-switch/*.json — five-second, exact-session switch requests/results

All files are written atomically into an owner-only directory. The extension does not persist prompts, responses, tool output, or credentials. The bridge represents one active target session at a time; focus the Pi or OMP session you want to control before pressing a direct-switch key.
