pi-unslop

A pi package that keeps the unslop writing rules in the system prompt, so the agent's prose stops reading like AI output. Skills normally load on demand and the model rarely chooses to read one about its own writing; this package removes that choice.

Install

pi install npm:pi-unslop

How it works

On session start the extension writes the rules into a block in ~/.pi/agent/APPEND_SYSTEM.md, which pi appends to the system prompt on every request. The block sits between <!-- pi-unslop:start --> and <!-- pi-unslop:end --> markers; anything outside the markers is yours and is left alone. When the bundled skill changes, the block is rewritten on the next session start and you're told to /reload.

The skill also registers normally, so /skill:unslop works for cleaning up a specific document.

Cost: about 1.6k tokens per request, mostly cache hits after the first call.

Notes

• A project's own .pi/APPEND_SYSTEM.md replaces the global one, and with it the rules, for that project.
• Uninstalling stops the syncing but leaves the block in place. Delete the lines from pi-unslop:start through pi-unslop:end to remove it.
