Optimize Toolset

Iโ€™ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately Iโ€™ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that Iโ€™ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that Iโ€™m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If youโ€™re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, ๐Ÿ‘‹, Iโ€™m Ryan Hefnerย  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If youโ€™re interested in other things Iโ€™m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects Iโ€™ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soonโ€“ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldnโ€™t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you ๐Ÿ™

pinia-plugin-keep

NPM version

๐Ÿ๐Ÿ Not only a pinia plugin.

Description

  • keepPiniaPlugin

Persistence your state to localStorage.

You only need to install the keepPiniaPlugin in main.ts, like the above Usage. And the plugin will keep your state in the localStorage when you use the store.

The default config is persistence the state to localStorage. You could change the config in the keepPiniaPlugin function, like the following:

pinia.use(_ => keepPiniaPlugin(_, 'session'))

So, the state will be kept in the sessionStorage.

  • resetPluginPinia

Resets the store to its initial state with a nested value pass the keypath as the argument.

When you install this plugin, your store will register a function call $resetPath, and you could use it to reset the value with state initial.

TIPS: $resetPath is options api only

For example:

  • userStore.ts
import { defineStore } from 'pinia'

export const useUserStore = defineStore({
  id: 'user',
  state: () => {
    return {
      token: '',
      userInfo: {
        age: 18,
        name: 'cx33'
      }
    }
  },
  // getters
  // ...
  // actions
  // ...
})
  • anywhere
import useUserStore from './userStore'

const store = useUserStore()

store.$resetPath('userInfo.age') // <- here is equal to store.$state.userInfo.age = 18

Install

npm i pinia-plugin-keep

Usage

  • main.ts
import { createApp } from 'vue'
import { createPinia } from 'pinia'
// โ†“ import the plugin
import { keepPiniaPlugin, resetPluginPinia } from 'pinia-plugin-keep'

import App from './App.vue'

const app = createApp(App)
const pinia = createPinia()

pinia.use(keepPiniaPlugin) // <- use the plugin
pinia.use(resetPluginPinia) // <- use the plugin

app.use(pinia)

app.mount('#app')

TypeScript

When adding new properties to stores, you should also extend the PiniaCustomProperties interface.

You need to create a file like pinia.d.ts in your project. And add the following code:

import 'pinia'

declare module 'pinia' {
  export interface PiniaCustomProperties {
    $resetPath: (path: string) => void
  }
}
