Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v0.3.7

Published

mcprush.com-89fe14c1dcfe6d37e1ae9d2a · MCP server for point-in-time company fundamentals from official filings (US, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, France, Belgium, Denmark, NZ charities), dated by filing.

pit-fundamentals-mcp

2.75 million entities, most of them private companies. France, Belgium and Denmark publish the accounts of every filing company, not just listed ones — and every figure here is keyed to the date it became public, so as_of gives you what was knowable then rather than what is known now.

Point-in-time company fundamentals for Claude, ChatGPT, and any other MCP client. Ask about a company's financials in plain language and get the figures as they were originally filed — not today's restatements.

"What was Apple's revenue as of the start of 2022?"
→ 365,817,000,000 USD, filed 2021-10-29

That filing date is the point. Most data sources hand back today's restated figure against a historical date, which quietly leaks future information into whatever you are reasoning about. Here every value is keyed to the date it became public, and as_of filters to what was knowable then.

Install

No sign-up needed — the free tier covers every company at its most recent reported fiscal year, all fields; about 60 named companies keep full history as a worked sample. Call get_coverage for the current list.

Free Data is supplied under the Trading Agent Data Free Licence (https://www.tradingagentapp.com/licences/free); using it means you accept that licence.

Claude Desktop — add to claude_desktop_config.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "pit-fundamentals": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "pit-fundamentals-mcp"]
    }
  }
}

Claude Code — from a terminal:

claude mcp add pit-fundamentals -- npx -y pit-fundamentals-mcp

To try full history, including as_of, before choosing a plan: request a free 30-day evaluation key with a work email at https://www.tradingagentapp.com/fundamentals/evaluate (up to 1,000 entities, for internal evaluation only). With an evaluation or paid key, add the environment variable:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "pit-fundamentals": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "pit-fundamentals-mcp"],
      "env": { "TRADINGAGENT_API_KEY": "ta_live_…" }
    }
  }
}

Tools

| Tool | What it does | | --- | --- | | search_companies | find a ticker from a name — "TSMC", "samsung", "2330" | | get_latest_fundamentals | most recent value of each metric, optionally as of a date | | get_fundamentals_history | every reported figure with its fiscal period and filing date | | get_coverage | markets, ticker counts, history depth, free-tier list |

Tickers look like AAPL (US), E00414.JP (Japan — the EDINET code), 2330.TW (Taiwan), 005930.KS (Korea), 775670417.FR (France — the SIREN), 0403091220.BE (Belgium — the KBO enterprise number), 35651594.DK (Denmark — the CVR number), CC21860.NZC (New Zealand — the charity registration number; the market code is NZC because .NZ is the NZX suffix for tradable stocks).

Data notes

  • Taiwan income-statement figures are single-quarter (three-month) amounts. Taiwan files cumulative year-to-date totals (Q2 = H1, Q4 = full year), and they are converted by subtracting the earlier quarters of the same year, so do not difference adjacent quarters again. A row with fiscal period FY is the full-year total, not a quarter.
  • Taiwan filing dates are the statutory quarterly deadline, not the moment the company actually published. The real release is usually earlier, so the date is a deliberately conservative proxy — point-in-time queries can only be late, never early.
  • Belgian figures are statutory solo accounts, not group consolidation — a parent's solo revenue can be far below the group number.
  • New Zealand is the Charities Register: registered charities, not listed issuers, because NZ company financials are not published as open data. Income, expenditure and surplus are on every return; assets, liabilities and equity appear only where the three balance, since small filers leave fields blank and the register serves blank as zero.
  • Factual historical data only. Not investment advice, not a recommendation.

Sources and licences

US SEC EDGAR (public information) · Taiwan Stock Exchange, two routes: the TWSE OpenAPI for current quarters (Open Government Data License v1.0 — attribution required) and the MOPS XBRL archive for history from 2013 (not open data; supplied on the basis in Source Conditions Schedule clause 3.6(b)). Both notices are returned with every Taiwan response and must be kept · Korea FSS OpenDART (public data, 공공데이터, permitted use not restricted — data.go.kr 15060626; the FSS confirmed in writing that no separate approval agreement is required) · National Bank of Belgium, Central Balance Sheet Office · Charities Services, Department of Internal Affairs (New Zealand), Charities Register — CC BY 3.0 NZ · Financial Services Agency, EDINET (Japan — EDINET terms of use applying the Public Data License 1.0; source attribution required) · INPI, Registre national des entreprises (France — reuse licence; attribution with the last-update date required) · Danish Business Authority (Denmark).

This package (the MCP client) is MIT licensed — see LICENSE. The DATA it fetches is not. It is supplied under the Trading Agent Data licences (https://www.tradingagentapp.com/licences) and the source registers' terms, and for Taiwan, Japan, France and New Zealand the attribution returned with every response is a condition of the grant, not a courtesy: keep it with the data.
