PixelDirector CLI
Connect Codex, Claude Code, Qoder CLI, or another MCP-capable Agent to the hosted PixelDirector creative workspace.
Install
Run:
npx -y pixeldirector@latest installThe installer opens PixelDirector for browser authorization when needed, verifies the remote account, then downloads
the versioned video-creation Skill, verifies every file's SHA-256 digest, and installs the Skill plus pixeldirector
MCP server into every detected supported Agent. To target one client, add --agent codex, --agent claude, or
--agent qoder. For a terminal without browser access, use npx -y pixeldirector@latest auth login --no-browser.
Create an image, video, or mixed-media project
PixelDirector uses alibaba/happyhorse-1.1 as the default video-generation
model unless the user explicitly requests another model.
npx -y pixeldirector@latest make \
--title "Summer key visual" \
--skill "product-key-visual" \
--prompt "Create a blue-dress campaign key visual."
npx -y pixeldirector@latest make \
--title "Summer launch" \
--skill "product-showcase-video" \
--prompt "Create a 15-second product launch video."The command creates a hosted project and returns its project ID, canvas URL, generated assets, tool results, and final
agent response. The final JSON also includes canvas.layout, the full Canvas asset records, and canvas.imageIds
entries containing each image's shape ID, asset ID, and URL. While the run is active, resumable progress events are
written as NDJSON to stderr. The final result is written as JSON to stdout. Add --no-stream when only the final JSON
is needed.
Inspect or continue a project
npx -y pixeldirector@latest project state --project "<project ID>"
npx -y pixeldirector@latest chat history --project "<project ID>"
npx -y pixeldirector@latest resources --project "<project ID>"
npx -y pixeldirector@latest result --project "<project ID>"Upload a local source image or video with:
npx -y pixeldirector@latest upload --project "<project ID>" --file "/absolute/path/source.png"Download every generated image, video, and audio asset from a hosted project:
npx -y pixeldirector@latest download all \
--project "<project ID>" \
--output "/absolute/path/to/delivery"The command validates each response as media and writes manifest.json with the
remote URL, producing tool call, local path, content type, and byte count.
