Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A smart, interactive CLI tool to search, browse, and install npm packages — with a great terminal UI.


Installation

npm install -g pkg-package

Or use locally in a project:

npm install pkg-package
npx pkg-package --help

Usage

pkg-package [command] [options]

Commands

Examples

Install packages

# Install one package
pkg-package install express

# Install multiple packages

# Interactive mode (search + pick)
pkg-package install -i
pkg-package install --interactive

Search packages

# Search and optionally install
pkg-package search react

# Limit results
pkg-package search react --limit 5

Remove packages

# Remove a package
pkg-package remove lodash

# Interactive removal (pick from package.json)
pkg-package remove

List packages

# List all packages

# List only production deps
