Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Published

Pooly gives humans and AI agents programmable spending authority.

Pooly CLI

npx pooly

That prints Welcome to POOLY, lists every command, then asks you to log in with the same email and password as pooly.org. After that you can create a pool and spend.

On Windows PowerShell, if you see npm.ps1 cannot be loaded, Windows is blocking scripts — not Pooly. Do not change ExecutionPolicy. Use Command Prompt, or:

npx.cmd pooly
npm.cmd install -g pooly

-g only puts pooly on this computer. You still type pooly when you want to run it. Someone else installs it on their machine.

pooly demo prints that same welcome card and stops — the tape used on /invest#cli-demo.

Every command starts with pooly.

pooly login

New account:

pooly signup
# Email:
# Password:

Or non-interactive:

pooly login --email [email protected] --password "your password"

pk_live_… is an agent API key from the website (Developers), not your password. Bots use --key. You do not need it.

Then:

pooly create --name "Saturday Dinner"
pooly fund "Saturday Dinner"
pooly spend --pool "Saturday Dinner" --gift walmart --amount 5 --yes

Commands

| Command | Notes | |---|---| | pooly | Welcome, command list, then login if needed | | pooly demo | Same boxed welcome + command card (no login, no extra logo) | | pooly login / signup / logout / whoami | Auth (email + password). Signup is optional. | | pooly pools / balance / activity | Read | | pooly pay / spend / approve / fund | Money movement | | pooly admin add <pool> --email [email protected] | Invite human admin by email | | pooly admin add <pool> --user @handle | Invite human admin by username | | pooly agents / agents add | Agents (AI/API — not the same as admin) | | pooly rules / rules edit | Permissions | | pooly delegate | Bounded authority | | pooly execute | Universal intent | | pooly subpools <pool> | List nested Pools (each has its own Safe) | | pooly subpool create --pool <parent> --name Snacks --allocate 10 | Create a sub-pool | | pooly tui | Optional full-screen UI |

If two Pools share a name, the CLI refuses the name and prints every id. Use that id:

pooly fund 81c3515b-6e7a-46cb-8758-ac946ae306f9

All important commands support --json for agents and scripts.

Config

~/.pooly/config.json. Env: POOLY_API_URL, POOLY_TOKEN, POOLY_AGENT_KEY.

Default API: https://pooly-be.onrender.com
