Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

portchecka

Kleine NPM-CLI: Alle Ports auf dem Mac anzeigen, was darauf läuft, seit wann – mit Dashboard, Volltextsuche, Kill und Fixieren.

Nutzung (nach Veröffentlichung auf npm)

Schnell starten (ohne Installation):

npx portchecka

Startet das Dashboard einmal und öffnet es im Browser.

Global installieren, dann mit Befehl starten:

npx portchecka install

Installiert portchecka global. Danach reicht:

portchecka

Startet den Server und öffnet das Dashboard im Browser (z. B. http://127.0.0.1:3847).

Installation (lokal / Entwicklung)

Aus dem Projektordner:

npm install -g .

oder

npm link

Dann: portchecka starten.

Funktionen

  • Dashboard: Tabelle mit Port, Befehl, PID, User, Startzeit
  • Volltextsuche: Filter nach Port, Befehl, User oder Startzeit
  • Kill: Prozess auf dem Port beenden (SIGTERM, ggf. SIGKILL)
  • Fixieren: Port als „fixiert“ markieren (Eintrag in ~/.portcheck-fixed.json), damit du siehst, welche Prozesse du dauerhaft laufen lassen willst; Fixierung aufheben mit „Fixierung aufheben“

KISS, SOLID, DRY – keine externen Runtime-Abhängigkeiten außer Node (lsof/ps auf dem Mac).
