Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

PostQode

Meet PostQode, an AI assistant that lives in your terminal.

PostQode can handle complex software development tasks step-by-step. With tools that let him create & edit files, explore large projects, use the browser, and execute terminal commands (after you grant permission), he can assist you in ways that go beyond code completion or tech support.

npm i -g postqode

# cd into your project and run:
postqode

Move your mouse around under the PostQode icon for a surprise!

Use any API and Model

PostQode supports API providers like ChatGPT, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, Azure, GCP Vertex, Cerebras and Groq. You can also configure any OpenAI compatible API, or use a local model through LM Studio/Ollama. If you're using a PostQode Account, you'll always have access to the newest models as soon as they're available.

Stay in Control with Human-in-the-Loop

PostQode asks for your approval before running commands, editing files, or taking any action. Review each step and approve or reject as you go—or enable auto-approve to let PostQode work autonomously to completion.

Plan & Agent Modes

Toggle to Plan Mode to discuss implementation and architecture with PostQode. He'll ask clarifying questions, explore your codebase, and present a plan for you to align on. Once you're satisfied, switch to Agent Mode and let PostQode execute the plan.
