Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

TypeScript pray CLI and library for Prayfile: a package manager for the language placed before inference.

Resolve, lock, render, verify, publish, and serve shared instructions, policies, templates, and related input as versioned packages. The installed executable is pray.

Install

npm install -g pray-cli

Or run without installing:

npx pray-cli install

Usage

From a project with a Prayfile:

pray manifest
pray install
pray verify --strict
pray drift
pray publish --root ./prayers
pray serve --root ./prayers --port 7429

Commands

  • manifest, init, prayer init, repo init
  • add, remove, update, unlock
  • install, apply, plan, render, verify, drift, format

Development

Requirements

  • Node.js 20+
  • git for git sources
  • zstd and tar for .praypkg archives

Status

Registry HTTP(S), git sources, local publish/serve/sync, vendor/tree, login (passkey and ssh-agent), upgrade, update/plan/outdated remote flags, and trust import paths are implemented. SSH registry (pray+ssh://) and serve --stdio remain planned.
