Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

puppyscrambled

v1.1.0

Published

Random generation and scrambling utilities for usernames, emails, headers, and strings

Readme

puppyscrambled

On npm @ https://www.npmjs.com/package/puppyscrambled

And GitHub @ https://github.com/onlypuppy7/puppyscrambled

Scrambled, ported to npm. Another useless file taken out of my projects!

Maps a lot of Shell Shockers functions too.

Install

npm install puppyscrambled

Usage

import scrambled from 'puppyscrambled';
import { ShellShockersProxyList } from 'puppyscrambled/lists';

// basic random values

const email = scrambled.getRandomEmail();
const simpleEmail = scrambled.getRandomEmail(true);
const password = scrambled.getRandomPassword();

console.log('email:', email);
console.log('simple email:', simpleEmail);
console.log('password:', password);

// usernames and names

const name1 = scrambled.getRandomName();
const name2 = scrambled.getRandomName(true); // more randomness

console.log('name:', name1);
console.log('name (randomised):', name2);

// headers and user agents

// generates an object with a random User-Agent
const headers = scrambled.getRandomOrigin();

console.log(headers);

// you can merge your own headers in
const headersWithExtras = scrambled.getRandomOrigin({
    'Accept-Language': 'en-GB,en;q=0.9'
});

console.log(headersWithExtras);

// domains, providers, terms

const domain = scrambled.getRandomDomain();
const provider = scrambled.getRandomProvider();
const term = scrambled.getRandomTerm();

console.log('domain:', domain);
console.log('provider:', provider);
console.log('term:', term);

// readable string mutations
// useful for making variants that still look human

const base = 'onlypuppy7';
const variants = scrambled.generateReadableVariants(base, 6);

console.log('base:', base);
console.log('variants:', variants);

// math helpers are attached to scrambled too

const vec2 = { x: 5, y: 12 };
scrambled.normalize2(vec2); // normalises in place

console.log('normalised vec2:', vec2);

// random helpers

const randInt = scrambled.getRandomInt(10, 20);
const randBool = scrambled.getRandomBool();
const randChar = scrambled.getRandomChar();
const randCode = scrambled.getRandomCode(10);

console.log('random int:', randInt);
console.log('random bool:', randBool);
console.log('random char:', randChar);
console.log('random code:', randCode);

// seeded randomness
// same seed gives repeatable output

scrambled.seed = 12345;

const seeded1 = scrambled.seededRandomAlphaNumeric(12, 12345);
const seeded2 = scrambled.seededRandomAlphaNumeric(12, 12345);

console.log('seeded 1:', seeded1);
console.log('seeded 2:', seeded2); // same output as seeded1

console.log(ShellShockersProxyList.length, 'proxy domains available');
