Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

QA Dev Tools

QA Dev Tools is a collection of utility functions and tools for quality assurance (QA) in software development projects.

Installation

Install the package using npm:

npm install qa-dev-tools

or,

yarn add qa-dev-tools

Usage

Import the package into your project:

import {
  getElementByXPath,
  getElementsByXPath,
  changeHTMLText,
} from "qa-dev-tools";

getElementByXPath(path) Retrieves the first DOM element matching the XPath expression.

path (string): The XPath expression to evaluate. Returns: The matching DOM element, or null if not found.

Example usage:

const element = getElementByXPath('//div[@class="example"]');

getElementsByXPath(xpathToExecute) Retrieves an array of DOM elements matching the XPath expression.

xpathToExecute (string): The XPath expression to evaluate. Returns: An array of DOM elements matching the expression. Example usage:

const elements = getElementsByXPath('//div[@class="example"]');

changeHTMLText() Changes the inner HTML text of a DOM element specified by XPath. Prompts the user to enter the XPath and the new message.

Example usage:

changeHTMLText();
