Installation

npm install qpurt

Requires Node.js 20+ (recommended).

Quick Start

import { server } from "qpurt";

server().start();

Default directory layout:

Configuration

Configuration can come from:

1. Built-in defaults
2. package.json (qpConfig)
3. ./qpurt.json or server('path/to/file.json')
4. server({...})

Later values override earlier ones.

Static Files

Files inside the configured public directory are served automatically.

Clean URLs are supported:

HTTPS

Certificates reload automatically when renewed.

Debugging

Route returns 500

• Verify the route function exists.
• Ensure it exports a default function.
• Check console output.

Route returns 504

Your handler never completed the response.

Always call:

res.end();

Watch mode doesn't detect files

Linux automatically attempts to install Chokidar (without modifying package.json). If unavailable, qpurt falls back to fs.watch.

TLS errors

Verify certificate paths and permissions.

Production Recommendations

• Disable watch mode.
• Enable HTTPS.
• Enable rate limiting.
• Run behind nginx or a CDN if desired.
• Use PM2, Docker, or systemd.
