QuikDB CLI
Decentralized application deployment and management platform
QuikDB CLI enables developers to deploy and manage containerized applications across a decentralized network of nodes, providing instant local-first registration, distributed deployment, and zero-downtime migrations.
Overview
QuikDB is a decentralized platform that allows developers to:
- Deploy applications instantly across local or distributed infrastructure
- Manage containers with seamless migration between nodes
- Scale dynamically across a peer-to-peer network
- Monitor performance with real-time metrics and health checks
- Reduce costs through intelligent batch blockchain operations
Key Features
🚀 Local-First Architecture
- Instant registration without blockchain delays
- Offline capability with automatic synchronization
- 80% gas cost reduction through batch processing
🌐 Flexible Deployment Modes
- Local: Quick development on localhost
- Remote-Only: Pure network deployment, zero local resources
- Hybrid P2P: Distributed across multiple nodes
⚡ Zero-Downtime Operations
- Seamless application migration between nodes
- Complete data transfer including volumes and configurations
- Automatic load balancing and capacity management
🛠️ Production-Ready Service Management
- Cross-platform service installation (Linux/macOS/Windows)
- Auto-start, health monitoring, and log management
- Comprehensive troubleshooting and diagnostics
Quick Start
Installation
npm install -g quikdb-cliBasic Usage
# Register user and node
quikdb user register --name "Your Name" --email "[email protected]"
quikdb node register --node-id "my-node" --tier "BASIC"
quikdb node activate --p2p
# Deploy applications
quikdb deploy nginx:latest # Local development
quikdb deploy nginx:latest --min-nodes=3 # Distributed network
quikdb deploy nginx:latest --skip-blockchain # Remote-only deployment

Architecture
QuikDB consists of three main components:
- CLI Client: Command-line interface for deployment and management
- Node Network: Peer-to-peer network of compute nodes
- Smart Contracts: Blockchain registry on Lisk network
Deployment Flow
- User/Node Registration: Local-first with background blockchain sync
- Application Deployment: Choose local, remote-only, or hybrid modes
- Container Management: Automatic distribution and load balancing
- Migration & Scaling: Zero-downtime moves between nodes
