Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A lightweight JavaScript utility to generate random strings of specified lengths using custom character sets.

Installation

You can install the random-string-generator-multi package via npm:

npm install random-string-generator-multi


Usage
To use the generateRandomString function, require it in your JavaScript file:

Generating Random Strings

const randomString = generateRandomString(10);

Customizing Character Set
You can also specify a custom character set to generate random strings:

const customRandomString = generateRandomString(8, 'abcdef');
console.log(customRandomString); // Output: "abbcafcc"
API
generateRandomString(length, charset)
Generates a random string of the specified length using the provided character set.

length (number): The length of the random string to generate.
charset (string, optional): The character set to use for generating the random string (default: 'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789').
Returns the generated random string.
