Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Rank yourself as a coder. Measured.

npx rankmycode

Reads the Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and opencode sessions already on your machine, measures them on your own machine, shows you exactly what would be sent, and asks before anything is published.

This package is a launcher. It downloads the signed collector binary for your platform from the release it is pinned to, verifies its SHA-256 before making it executable, caches it under ~/.cache/rankme/ (%LOCALAPPDATA%\rankme\ on Windows), and runs it. It contains no collector source.

Needs Node 18.17 or newer, because that is what npx comes with. Builds exist for macOS and Linux on arm64 and x64, and for Windows on x64.

The publish confirmation is read from a real terminal and cannot be answered by a flag, a pipe, or an agent. In CI, or anywhere without a terminal, it refuses rather than assuming yes.

If PowerShell says The term 'npx' is not recognized, that is Node missing rather than anything wrong with this package — use the Windows line above, or install Node and try again.
