Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

LOTR SDK README

Welcome to the LOTR SDK! This SDK provides a simple and convenient way to interact with the the-one-api api using javascript.

Installation

To install the Node SDK, simply run the following command: npm install rchesnut-lotr-sdk or yarn add rchesnut-lotr-sdk

Getting Started

To use the SDK in your project, import the SDK and create a new instance with your API key:

import {
  LotrSDK,
} from "rchesnut-lotr-sdk";

let setup = new LotrSDK("<your-api-key>", "v2");

With the SDK initialized, you can now use the various methods available to interact with our API by passing the setup object. For example:

const allMovies = await getAllLotrMovies(setup);
console.log(allMovies);

Methods

The SDK provides the following methods:

Retrieves all the LOTR movies.

  const allMovies = await getAllLotrMovies(setup);
  console.log(allMovies);

Retrieves one LOTR movie.

  const oneMovie = await getOneLotrMovie(setup, "5cd95395de30eff6ebccde5a");
  console.log(oneMovie);

Retrieves all quotes from one LOTR movie. Note: you can pass limit, offset, page, sort, and filter to any of the functions

 const movieQuotes = await getQuotesByMovieId(
    setup,
    "5cd95395de30eff6ebccde5c",
    { limit: 1 }
  );
  console.log(movieQuotes);
