Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A React framework for collecting and emitting analytics events with minimal boilerplate. Automatically collects context through component boundaries, making analytics implementation simpler and more maintainable.

1. Context Collection

  • Wrap components with AnalyticsBoundary to define context
  • Context is automatically inherited from parent boundaries
  • Events include all relevant context from their location in the tree

Best Practices

  1. Boundary Organization

    • Place boundaries around logical sections (pages, features, forms)
    • Keep hierarchy shallow (2-3 levels)
    • Use meaningful names
  2. Context Management

    • Define context at highest relevant level
    • Use consistent attribute names
    • Avoid context duplication
  3. Event Naming

    • Use consistent actions: 'clicked', 'viewed', 'submitted'
    • Make names descriptive but concise
    • Follow consistent patterns

Create custom providers by implementing the Provider interface:
