Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

react-native-native-video-skia

A deliberately narrow native-buffer bridge between react-native-native-video and React Native Skia.

Initial frozen RetroZero compatibility:

  • react-native-native-video >=0.2.25 <0.3
  • @shopify/react-native-skia 2.4.18
  • React Native >=0.82
  • iOS 15+
  • Android minimum: API 26+ (RNSkia HardwareBuffer import); GPU decode path: API 29+

The bridge does not create an RGBA ArrayBuffer. NativeVideo leases the CVPixelBuffer/AHardwareBuffer just long enough for RNSkia to import it, then releases the lease immediately. RNSkia owns the resulting Metal/EGL texture lifetime.

Android Bitmap-backed fallback frames are intentionally rejected instead of silently uploading CPU pixels.
