Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

react-native-paystack-modal

npm downloads license typescript expo

A lightweight Paystack checkout SDK for React Native and Expo that opens the Paystack InlineJS checkout inside a WebView popup modal.

The library is fully type-safe, requires no provider setup, and works in both Expo and bare React Native apps.

Preview

Paystack checkout opens inside a React Native modal WebView.

Paystack Checkout Modal

Features

  • Works with Expo
  • Opens Paystack checkout in a popup WebView modal
  • Fully TypeScript typed
  • No Provider required
  • Supports all Paystack InlineJS transaction methods
  • Handles success, cancel, and error events
  • Minimal setup

Installation

npm install react-native-paystack-modal

Install WebView if not already installed:

expo install react-native-webview

or

npm install react-native-webview

Setup

Add the modal host once in your root component.

import { PaystackModalHost } from "react-native-paystack-modal";

export default function App() {
  return (
    <>
      <YourApp />
      <PaystackModalHost />
    </>
  );
}

Basic Usage

import { Paystack } from "react-native-paystack-modal";

Paystack.newTransaction({
  key: "pk_test_xxxx",
  email: "[email protected]",
  amount: 500000,

  onSuccess: (response) => {
    console.log("Payment success", response);
  },

  onCancel: () => {
    console.log("Payment cancelled");
  },

  onError: (error) => {
    console.error("Payment error", error);
  }
});

Async Usage

You can also use async/await if preferred.

try {
  const response = await Paystack.checkout({
    key: "pk_test_xxxx",
    email: "[email protected]",
    amount: 500000
  });

  console.log(response);
} catch (err) {
  console.log(err);
}

Supported Methods

| Method | Description | |------|-------------| | checkout() | Async checkout flow | | newTransaction() | Standard Paystack transaction | | resumeTransaction() | Resume server initialized payment | | preloadTransaction() | Preload checkout modal | | cancelTransaction() | Cancel transaction | | paymentRequest() | Wallet payment request |

This SDK supports all Paystack InlineJS transaction methods.

See the official Paystack InlineJS documentation:

## How It Works

This library loads **Paystack InlineJS** inside a **React Native WebView** and presents it as a **modal popup**.

This approach allows the SDK to:

- Work with **Expo**
- Avoid native SDK linking
- Stay **lightweight**
- Remain **fully type-safe**

# Requirements
