Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

reactive-toggle-js

v1.0.4

Published

Flexable Vanila Js based toggle button which can hold custom property

Readme

Reactive toggle is a vanila based js package based on es6 concepts

in order to use this package the following please run the following commands :

npm -i --save "package-name" in your project directory.

after installing the package you must use a tool like browserify.. etc in order to compile it down to bundle file which you will then have to include like so :

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">

<head>
    <meta charset="UTF-8">
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
    <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>

    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="ie=edge">
    <title>Document</title>
</head>

<body>
    <ul>
        <li>1</li>
        <li>2</li>
        <li>3</li>
        <li>4</li>
        <li>5</li>
    </ul>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="./node_modules/reactive-toggle-js/style.css">
    <script src="./bundle.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

after doing so you going to have to call the "init" function from your script file like so :

let reactiveToggle = require("reactive-toggle");
reactiveToggle.init();

to the init function you can pass copule of variables which are the

  1. True state text to display
  2. the false text to display
  3. the current state (0/1) when 0 is false and 1 is true.
  4. an custom property name (which is a must ) - in order to get incidations back from the toggle
  5. an custom property value (again..its a must)
  6. an index, in cases that there is more then 1 toggle in the site, this is a MUST. each one of the toggle must get an unieq id.
  7. Off state custom color (not a must)
  8. On state custom color (not a must)

and you can use this component as follows :

let reactiveToggle = require("reactive-toggle-js");
let listArray = Array.prototype.slice.call(document.querySelectorAll("li"));
console.log(listArray);
listArray.forEach((listItem,index) => {
    let toggle = reactiveToggle.init("False","True",1,"data-toggle",index,index);
    listItem.appendChild(toggle);
});

Feel free to improve it :)
