Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

CLI for Reforms — contacts buckets for AI and static sites

Readme

reforms-cli

Contacts buckets for AI agents and static sites. Create a bucket, paste a plain <form> on your site, read the contacts back later from the CLI, the inbox, or MCP. There is no form builder and there are no hosted forms.

npx reforms-cli init

init creates a workspace, mints a bucket, writes reforms.json in the current directory, and registers the Reforms MCP server in ~/.cursor/mcp.json so an agent can read the bucket without another credential. It prints the HTML to paste on your site:

<form method="POST" action="https://reforms.dev/b/bk_…">
  <input type="email" name="email" required>
  <textarea name="message"></textarea>
  <button type="submit">Send</button>
</form>
<script src="https://reforms.dev/reforms.js" async></script>

Capture needs no API key. Post straight to the bucket URL from the browser — don't proxy it through your own backend. Field name attributes become the bucket schema, so use email and message, not field_1.

Commands

| Command | What it does | | --- | --- | | reforms init [--name Contact] [--email [email protected]] [--tag state] | Create a bucket, write reforms.json, wire up MCP | | reforms inbox [--bucket bk_…] [--contacts] [--status new] [--since ISO] | Read entries or deduplicated contacts | | reforms whoami | Show the workspace, its plan, and every bucket | | reforms link [email protected] | Attach an email so the workspace is recoverable | | reforms open | Open the web inbox, already signed in |

Add --json to any command for machine-readable output.

Configuration

The workspace token lives in ~/.config/reforms/config.json with mode 0600. It starts with rw_ and grants full access to the workspace, so keep it out of client-side code and out of version control.

| Variable | Purpose | | --- | --- | | REFORMS_API_URL | Point the CLI at another API origin. Overrides the stored value. | | REFORMS_MCP_URL | MCP endpoint written into ~/.cursor/mcp.json. | | REFORMS_CONFIG_DIR | Move the config directory, e.g. for an isolated test run. |

Plans

Free workspaces get unlimited capture and see the newest 100 contacts. Pro adds full history, team members, file uploads, and the weekly digest.
