Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

remixicon-react-bundler

npm version License: MIT

A lightweight, performance-optimized React bundler for Remix Icon SVGs. Instead of importing the entire Remix Icon package or relying on CDN, this library dynamically loads only the icons you use, dramatically reducing bundle size and improving offline availability.

🚀 Features

  • All Remix Icon SVGs Included – Latest SVGs are bundled as string constants.
  • 🧠 Type-Safe Icon Names – Intellisense support with IconName union types for better DX.
  • 🎯 Optimized React Component – Only load what you need, when you need it.
  • 🎨 Customizable Colors – Supports an array of colors for multi-path SVGs.
  • 📏 Resizable Icons – Control icon size via a simple size prop.
  • 📦 Minimal Bundle Size – Uses dynamic imports and manual path rendering.

📦 Installation

npm install remixicon-react-bundler
# or
yarn add remixicon-react-bundler

🧩 Usage

import React from "react";
import { SvgIcon } from "remixicon-react-bundler";

function App() {
  return (
    <div>
      <SvgIcon icon="arrow-right-line" size={32} color={["#ff0000"]} />
    </div>
  );
}

🧪 Props

| Prop | Type | Default | Description | |-------|---------------------|--------------------|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | icon | IconName | Required | Icon name string with full intellisense support. | | size | number \| string | 24 | Size of the icon in pixels (used for both height and width). | | color | string[] | ["currentColor"] | Array of color strings applied to each <path> in the SVG. |

⚙️ How It Works

  1. Type-Safe Icon Tokens All available icon names are exported as a TypeScript union type, ensuring type safety and editor support.

  2. SVG Constants as Modules All SVG files are converted to string constants and saved as .ts files in the icons directory during build time.

  3. Dynamic Import The SvgIcon component uses dynamic import() to fetch the string for the given icon on-demand.

  4. Path Extraction SVG strings are parsed using RegExp to extract d attributes manually.

  5. Color Injection Custom colors provided through the color prop are mapped to individual paths in order.
