Remox Bridge

Control OpenCode from your iPhone.

Remox is a local-first open-source bridge that keeps the OpenCode runtime on your Mac and lets your phone connect through a paired secure session.

Install

npm install -g remox_bridge

Or run from source:

npm install
npm run dev -- up

Quick Start

remox up

Prints a QR. Scan it with the Remox mobile app to pair.

After pairing:

• Your phone sends commands through the bridge to OpenCode
• git/status, git/commit, git/push and other git operations run locally on your Mac
• Responses stream back to your phone in real-time
• The bridge keeps running so the phone can reconnect automatically

The bridge:

• Spawns opencode run [command] for each execute request
• Handles git operations directly via the git CLI
• Persists session state locally
• Streams responses over WebSocket to the phone

Security

End-to-end encrypted pairing between phone and bridge. The relay (VPS) sees only encrypted blobs — prompts, tool calls, responses, and git output are never exposed in plaintext.

Self-Hosting Relay

For remote access from anywhere, deploy a relay server on a VPS:

# On your VPS
git clone <remox-relay-repo> && cd relay
npm install
node src/index.js

Point the bridge at your relay:

REMOX_RELAY="wss://your-relay.example/relay" remox up

The relay tunnels encrypted WebSocket traffic between phone and bridge without decrypting payloads.
