Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A simple Node.js CLI tool that uses AI to review and correct your code.
Quickly spot issues, get improvement suggestions, and generate corrected code directly from your terminal.

Installation

Install my-project with npm

 npm install -g reviwe
 #or
 npm i reviwe

From source (GitHub): git clone https://github.com/MrPiyushmandloi/ai-code-reviewer.git cd reviwe npm install npm link

Environment Variables

To run this project, you will need to add the following environment variables to your .env file

GEMINI_API_KEY = your gemini api_key_here

Make sure to replace your_api_key_here with your actual API key.

⚠️ Do not commit your .env file to GitHub.

The CLI provides two commands:

Can be copied directly or saved manually

🛠 Development & Local Testing

If you want to test locally before publishing or after updates:


npm link

Then run:


review-my-code test.js
correct-code test.js

Output:

  • Missing semicolon
  • Type coercion issue: adding number and string
  • Recommend using Number(a) + Number(b)
