Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Octane compiler bridge for RipIDE's native TSRX content mapper.

Readme

Octane TSRX support

This optional package adds authored-source parsing and a native TypeScript content-mapper bridge for Octane .tsrx files. Plain TypeScript and Vue keep RipIDE's existing compiler. TSRX semantic operations use this package's pinned native TypeScript build.

Requires Node 22.22.2 or newer. Install the optional adapter in the consumer project, keeping its existing Octane version:

bun add --dev ripide ripide-tsrx @tsrx/content-mapper

Add the mapper to the consumer's tsconfig, retaining its other compiler options:

{
  "contentMappers": [
    {
      "package": "@tsrx/content-mapper",
      "extensions": [".tsrx"],
      "options": { "compiler": "ripide-tsrx/compiler" }
    }
  ],
  "include": ["src/**/*.ts", "src/**/*.tsx", "src/**/*.tsrx"]
}

Scanning requires the adapter and the project-local Octane compiler. Scans and semantic operations require explicit external-code opt-in. The CLI refuses a missing or broken mapper before writing:

RIPIDE_RUN_EXTERNAL_CODE=1 bunx --package ripide ripide scan oldFn --profile full

RIPIDE_RUN_EXTERNAL_CODE=1 bunx --package ripide ripide \
  rename oldFn newFn --scope src/helper.ts --profile full

# Apply after reviewing the preview
RIPIDE_RUN_EXTERNAL_CODE=1 bunx --package ripide ripide \
  rename oldFn newFn --scope src/helper.ts --apply

test/tsrx.test.ts exercises the built CLI, using Octane 0.10.2 and the official mapper. It covers authored positions, templates, conditional and loop expressions, sibling control flow inside a fragment, import aliases, component tags, type annotations, local bindings, new type errors, file renames, and refusal to apply malformed or unconfigured input.

Known limits:

  • This adapter targets Octane. Other TSRX compilers are not qualified.
  • A code block renders one output node. Wrap sibling @if and @for outputs in <>…</>. Octane 0.10.2's Volar compiler throws instead of returning a diagnostic for the invalid bare form; RipIDE refuses to write it.
  • Moving or deleting a declaration authored in TSRX, CSS class migrations, mixed Vue/TSRX projects, and monorepo-wide project references are not qualified.
  • A successful CLI rename is not a full application build. Keep the consumer's existing typecheck and build gates.

Repository development uses its existing pnpm workspace:

pnpm install
pnpm build
pnpm test test/tsrx.test.ts
pnpm typecheck
pnpm lint
