Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

rust-dedupe

A fast, std-only recursive duplicate-file finder. Point it at a folder and it tells you exactly how much space byte-identical copies are wasting, ranked biggest-win first.

This npm package is a thin launcher: on install it downloads the prebuilt native binary (built from the Rust source) for your platform. No Rust toolchain required.

Use it without installing

npx rust-dedupe ~/Downloads
npx rust-dedupe .
npx rust-dedupe "C:\Users\you\Pictures"

Or install it globally

npm install -g rust-dedupe
rust-dedupe ~/Downloads

Supported platforms: Windows x64, macOS (Intel + Apple Silicon), Linux x64. On anything else, install from source: cargo install --git https://github.com/SujalXplores/rust-dedupe.git.
