Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

RxResponsive

RxResponsive is a small angular library for working with responsive web breakpoints in a fluid manner using RxJs.

The default breakpoints are based on bootstrap but you can configure your own strongly typed breakpoints too.

Install

yarn add rx-responsive

Usage:

Module setup

Add the RxResponsiveModule with forRoot() to your root module's imports

Configuring breakpoints

The default breakpoint sizes are based on bootstrap, but you can configure your own breakpoint conditions.

First off, define your own breakpoints as a const somewhere

export const MyCustomBreakpoints = {
    mobile: { max: 500 },
    tablet: { min: 501, max: 1000 }
    desktop: { max: 1001 }
}

When importing the module RxResponsiveModule pass your breakpoints into the forRoot() method

Finally, when importing the RxResponsiveService service in your component, add a generic type argument of your custom breakpoints

You will then get strong typing of your custom breakpoints
