Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Visual flow builder for sandboxed coding agents: the sandflow CLI, its backend and the web UI

Readme

Sandflow

Visual flow builder for sandboxed coding agents: chain automatic steps and AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, …) into flows that run in Docker / Podman sandboxes. This package is the whole of Sandflow without the desktop app: the sandflow command, its background server and the web UI.

Needs Node.js 22+, Git, and Docker or Podman for the sandboxes.

Install

npm install -g sandflow
sandflow ui # start Sandflow and open the UI in your browser

Optional, for Claude Code (adds /sand:flow, /sand:schedule, /sand:edit and the sandflow MCP server):

sandflow setup

Use

sandflow ui [--port N] Open the Sandflow UI in your browser
sandflow flows List flows and the inputs they need
sandflow run <flow> [prompt] Start a run and follow it (--detach to not wait)
sandflow runs Recent runs (CLI and desktop app)
sandflow -r Pick a recent run and continue it
sandflow status | answer | stop | logs <runId>
sandflow schedule add|list|edit|cancel Run a flow later (OS scheduler)
sandflow checker install Hourly task that continues paused runs
sandflow serve | shutdown Run / stop the background server yourself
sandflow mcp Stdio MCP server for Claude Code
sandflow --help Everything, and `sandflow <command> --help`

Your flows, settings and runs live in ~/.sandflow (or $SANDFLOW_HOME), so npm update -g sandflow and reinstalls keep them. Run sandflow shutdown before updating so the running server picks up the new version.

Sandbox image

Flows run in the local sandflow-agent:<version> image (Sandflow never pulls images). This package ships its Dockerfile, so build it once per version:

docker build -t "sandflow-agent:$(sandflow --version)" "$(npm root -g)/sandflow/sandbox"

(or podman build …). Alternatively pick your own image in the UI under Settings → Sandbox, or set the sandbox to none to run agents directly on this computer.
