Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

scntix

Production-grade animation, motion, physics, layout, SVG, scroll, and text APIs powered by Rust and WebAssembly.

This package is the generated JavaScript and TypeScript distribution of the Scntix Rust/WebAssembly runtime. It provides browser and Node.js entrypoints, grouped feature subpaths, and generated TypeScript declarations.

Install

npm install scntix

Bundler Usage

Use the root package or grouped subpaths in Vite, Next, and other bundler apps:

import { animate, Easing } from "scntix";

animate({
  targets: ".card",
  translateX: [0, 120],
  duration: 600,
  easing: Easing.easeOutQuad,
});
import { animate } from "scntix/animation";
import { createDrawable } from "scntix/svg";
import { splitText } from "scntix/text";

Manual Initialization

Browser imports auto-load the WASM runtime. Use the explicit init function only when you need to await readiness yourself:

import { init, animate } from "scntix/web";

await init();
animate({ targets: ".card", opacity: [0, 1] });

Node Usage

Use the dedicated Node entry when you need the Node runtime surface:

import { animate } from "scntix/node";

Export Groups

  • animation: animate, animateObject, createAnimatable, createTimer, +26 more
  • browser: commitStyles, createScope, easingToLinear, init, +8 more
  • input: createDraggable, createHover, createObserver, createPan, +6 more
  • interpolate: colorParseErrorIsFormatMismatch, hslToRgb, interpolateColor, interpolateNumber, +23 more
  • kinetics: accumulateWind, buildCloth, clothElementCounts, clothVertexIndex, +59 more
  • layout: anchoredBox, anchoredBoxFlippedToFit, correctBorderRadius, correctBoxShadow, +40 more
  • math: DualQuaternion, Matrix2, Matrix3, Matrix4, +4 more
  • motion: chainValue, combineValue, followValue, mapValue, +13 more
  • path: MorphConfig, MotionPath, MotionPathKinematics, PathMorph, +1 more
  • runtime: createRuntime, dependencyOf, hasDownstreamReaders, qualityLevelDegraded, +22 more
  • scroll: computePin, createScrollObserver, createScrollSmoother, evenSnapPoints, +28 more
  • svg: createDrawable, createMotionPath, DrawableHandle, MotionPathValues
  • text: adjustedAdvance, alignLines, assignClusterPaths, axisValue, +83 more
  • utils: version, ComposedFunction, ScntixEngine, Utils

Runtime and Package Layout

  • Root package and grouped subpaths auto-load the WASM runtime in browser bundlers such as Vite.

  • /web is the explicit direct-browser entry for non-bundler usage.

  • /node is the explicit Node runtime entry.

  • TypeScript declarations are generated for the root package and grouped subpaths.

  • Public entrypoints live at the package root under esm/, esm-node/, cjs/, and types/.

  • Internal WASM runtime assets live under _runtime/ and are loaded by the public entrypoints.

  • Subpath imports are recommended when you want a focused feature surface or smaller consumer bundles.

Repository Development

This package is generated from the Rust crate at crates/scntix-wasm. From the repository root, regenerate it with:

cd crates/scntix-wasm
npm run build:package
