Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

servicemap

v0.1.44

Published

Generate an internal service map page or desktop app for a software project.

Readme

Servicemap

Reusable servicemap skill package and CLI.

The skill scans a software project for external services, resolves service logos from a bundled database, and creates either an /internalservicemap website route or a desktop app fallback.

Terminal Use

The npm package name servicemap is available, so users can run the clean command and choose where to install it:

npx servicemap

That opens the interactive install survey. It installs to the universal .agents/skills folder and lets users choose additional agent-specific skill folders.

To install the bundled AI skill so /servicemap appears in compatible coding agents:

npx servicemap install-skill

To use an interactive Caveman-style terminal survey:

npx servicemap install-skill --survey

That installs to the Codex-style user skill folder, matching the way Caveman installs a local skill folder. To install for several agents on the same computer:

npx servicemap install-skill --agent all

The Caveman-style command shape also works:

npx servicemap skills install --agent claude

Agents with known local skill folders get the real servicemap skill installed. Symlink installs use a stable local clone at ~/.servicemap/source, so updates can be pulled without reinstalling every agent folder.

To update that local skill source:

npx servicemap update

Running npx servicemap again also refreshes the stable source before installing.

After a global install, the command is:

servicemap

Install globally:

npm install -g servicemap

CLI options:

servicemap
servicemap generate --root <project-path>
servicemap --root <project-path>
servicemap generate --root <project-path> --allow-emails [email protected],[email protected]
servicemap generate --root <project-path> --allow-email [email protected] --allow-email [email protected]
servicemap generate --root <project-path> --deploy
servicemap generate --root <project-path> --deploy-command "npm run deploy"
servicemap --mode page
servicemap --mode desktop
servicemap --dry-run
servicemap install-skill
servicemap install-skill --survey
servicemap install-skill --agent codex
servicemap install-skill --agent claude
servicemap install-skill --agent grok
servicemap install-skill --agent all
servicemap install-skill --targets universal,claude,grok
servicemap skills install --agent codex
servicemap update

When a website page is generated, Servicemap prompts before deployment when it detects a deployment command. It prefers an existing npm run deploy script, then provider config such as Vercel or Netlify. Use --no-deploy to skip the prompt.
