Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

sessionview

Headless server for SessionView — browse your local AI coding sessions (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Kimi Code, Cursor, OpenCode, CC-Mirror, Pi, Grok Build) from any browser.

The server shares its index (SQLite in ~/.sessionview) with the SessionView desktop app, so sessions indexed by either are instantly visible in both. The launcher checks for newer releases on startup and downloads them automatically (fail-soft: offline it runs the installed version).

How the binary is resolved

  1. Newest released version (npm registry check; skipped when offline).
  2. Platform package installed as an optional dependency (sessionview-<os>-<arch>).
  3. Per-user cache (~/.cache/sessionview/bin/<version>).
  4. Downloaded from the matching GitHub release, sha256-verified.
