Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

SibWings An2 !EXCLUSIVE!

LINK https://urluso.com/2tjMvl

After almost 6 years of development, Sibwings has finally released their AN-2 for FSX. It's not the best AN-2 out there, but it's certainly better than nothing. The biggest problem is the lack of bodywork - no new textures, no new mip maps. It doesn't look great, but at least it's something. The modelset is limited to the first Russian built AN-2, but the author says to expect more information in the future.

Well... some time ago I wrote that Sibwings had decided not to release the AN-2 in FSX due to changes in the development of the Russian version. I was wrong - it seems that they have decided to release it, although they are limited to the original model. Check out the video here. For those who prefer German, you'll have to wait for an official English translation.

A few days ago I wrote about a new project by the developers of SibWings to "take over" SibWings. Well, the rest was true - SibWings is no longer. Instead, the product is SibWings AN-2. This is a sound aircraft with a realistic cockpit, a detailed model and with reasonable performance. It comes in three different versions: The first Soviet built one with six seats; The second has 10 seats and the third has 15 seats. The author says it should be released on October 29th. The price for the download is $100 but it's 15% off for those who bought it from SibWings. However, I don't see this version in the current catalogue.

SibWings apparently decided not to release the AN-2 for FSX as they changed the development on the Russian version. This means that they are not releasing the plane in the NTSC version of the program, which is a pity. It is, however, a welcome release for those who only want to fly it in R3D.
