Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Signalis

Signalis is a simple JavaScript library that will help you connect or disconnect signals across your application.

It's designed to be lightweight and to really, really contain few lines of code.

Usage example

This example uses bun for typescript setup convenience, but should be pretty much the same on standard nodejs typescript.

mkdir -pv ./signalis-example && cd signalis-example
bun init -y
bun add signalis

Then open up index.ts

Real case usage

I created this library because i was needing some really easy way to wait for some data that was being sent asynchronously through a kafkajs consumer while i was still handling some express request, and signalis helped me accomplish this goal easily, with a code which did look like this:
