Silcrete
A residency-first megakernel compiler. Silcrete compiles an entire model's forward pass into a single persistent GPU kernel — one launch, one resident working set — instead of thousands of separate kernel launches.
The name: silcrete is the stone early humans in southern Africa learned to heat-treat with fire (~72,000 years ago) to knap into sharper tools — one of the earliest examples of transforming a raw material through a controlled process. This project does the same for a model.
