Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Hiccup-inspired view syntax for Sinuous

Readme

sinuous-frame

Badge size

An alternative view syntax for Sinuous. Inspired by Hiccup.

Installation

There are two ways to consume sinuous-frame

ESM

Run the following inside your project directory:

npm install sinuous-frame

CDN

Put this into your HTML:

<script src="https://unpkg.com/sinuous-frame/dist/min.js"></script>

Be sure you place it below your Sinuous CDN, like this:

<script src="https://unpkg.com/sinuous/dist/all.js"></script>
<script src="https://unpkg.com/sinuous-frame/dist/min.js"></script>

This places a sinuousFrame property on the window object.

Examples

Syntax

Every element is an array of the form [ <tag>, <attributes>, <children> ].

<tag> is a string referring to the kind of dom element you want to create, such as "div", and is required. <attributes> may be omitted, but if included should be a simple Javascript object of key-value pairs. There may be any number <children>, including 0, whether element arrays, strings, constants, observables, etc....

['p', { class: 'counter' }, 1, ' is greater than ', 0, '.'];

The syntax for components is similar to element syntax except that the component identifier takes the place of <tag>.

[
  Modal,
  { heading_text: 'Welcome' },
  ['p', 'Is this your first time visiting?'],
];

API

  • htmlNode | DocumentFragment
  • svgNode | DocumentFragment

html ⇒ Node | DocumentFragment

Kind: global constant
Returns: Node | DocumentFragment - A DOM node or fragment for injecting into the document.

| Param | Type | | ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | | ...node | Array | String | function |

Example (Single top-level element.)

let view = html([
  'p',
  { class: 'class-1' },
  ['span', 'content'],
  ' more content',
  ['span', ' and more content'],
]);

Example (Multiple top-level elements.)

let view = html(
  ['p', { class: 'class-1' }, 'foo'],
  ['p', { class: 'class-2' }, 'bar']
);

Example (Components with children.)

let component = (props, ...children) => html(['p', 'some text'], ...children);
let view = html([
  'div',
  { class: 'container' },
  [component, ['span', 'some more text'], ['span', 'and more text']],
  ['p', 'more content'],
]);

svg ⇒ Node | DocumentFragment

svg works in much the same way html does.

Kind: global constant
Returns: Node | DocumentFragment - An SVG DOM node or fragment for injecting into the document.

| Param | Type | | ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | | ...node | Array | String | function |

Example
