Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

slack-scrumbot

A Slack bot that performs a scrum pre-standup checkin.

Installation

$ npm install slack-scrumbot

Usage

Add a bot in Slack's Integrations panel. Copy the token.

Start bot

$ SCRUMBOT_TOKEN=your_slack_token npm start

Invite the bot to a channel:

/invite botname

Start a checkin

Write a message to the bot listing the users to do a checkin with:

@botname: checkin @username1 @username2 @username3

Or write a message to the channel to do a checkin with everyone:

@botname: checkin @channel

Stop bot

$ npm stop

$ DEBUG=slack-scrumbot* SLACK_LOG_LEVEL=debug SCRUMBOT_TOKEN=your_slack_token npm run watch
