Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Serverless Plus

npm version

Thanks to serverless.

The Serverless Framework – Build applications comprised of microservices that run in response to events, auto-scale for you, and only charge you when they run. This lowers the total cost of maintaining your apps, enabling you to build more logic, faster.

The Framework uses new event-driven compute services, like AWS Lambda, Tencent Cloud Functions, and more. It's a command-line tool, providing scaffolding, workflow automation and best practices for developing and deploying your serverless architecture. It's also completely extensible via plugins.

Quick Start

  1. Install via npm:
$ npm install -g slsplus
  1. Set-up your Provider Credentials:

Add the access keys of a Tencent CAM Role with AdministratorAccess in the .env file, using this format:

# .env
TENCENT_SECRET_ID=XXX
TENCENT_SECRET_KEY=XXX
  1. Create a Project:
# Create a new Serverless Project
$ slsplus create --template-url https://github.com/serverless-plus/components/tree/master/templates/tencent-fullstack-react-application

# Change into the newly created directory
$ cd tencent-fullstack-react-application
  1. Deploy a Project:

Use this when you have made changes to your Functions, Events or Resources in serverless.yml or you simply want to deploy all changes within your Project at the same time.

$ slsplus --debug
  1. Remove the Service:

Removes all Functions, Events and Resources from your AWS account.

$ slsplus remove --debug
