Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Solar MCP

MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for Upstage Solar Pro2 and Solar Mini models.

Installation

npm install solar-mcp

Or build locally:

git clone https://github.com/serithemage/solar-mcp.git
cd solar-mcp
npm install
npm run build

Configuration

Environment Variables

export UPSTAGE_API_KEY="your-api-key"

Note: If UPSTAGE_API_KEY is set as an environment variable, you can omit the env section in the configuration file.

Claude Code Setup

Add the MCP server using Claude Code CLI:

claude mcp add solar -- npx solar-mcp

With environment variable:

claude mcp add solar -e UPSTAGE_API_KEY=your-api-key -- npx solar-mcp

Verify configuration:

claude mcp list

Claude Desktop Setup

Add to ~/.config/claude/claude_desktop_config.json (macOS/Linux) or %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json (Windows):
