Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Intro

Sparkkit-CLI is the command line interface for the sparkkit tool. Sparkkit-CLI is to help developers get local projects and databases setup in an easy and streamline way. Sparkkit-CLI uses Javascript and allows you the developer to make any updates and changes you feel necessary.

Installation

To install Sparkkit-CLI globally, run:

npm install -g sparkkit-cli

Alternatively, you can link it locally for development:

cd sparkkit-cli
npm link

Usage

Once installed, the spark command will be available in your terminal.

General Usage

spark [ACTION] [PROJECT_NAME] [OPTIONS] [TEMPLATE]

Actions

create

Creates a new project or database.

  • Vite Project:

    spark create my-vite-app --vite [template]

    (Example templates: vanilla, react, vue, svelte, etc.)

  • Node Project:

    spark create my-node-app --node
  • PostgreSQL Database:

    spark create my_db --psql

delete

Deletes an existing project or database.

  • Project:

    spark delete my-vite-app --project [template]
  • Database:

    spark delete my_db --database

help or --h

Displays the help information.

spark help

spark --h
