Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Spina — utility package for corporate browser‑extension solutions

This README serves legal and organizational purposes. It does not describe product functionality. It records usage, privacy, and compliance terms for internal/external stakeholders.

Purpose and scope

  • The spina package is intended exclusively for technical use within corporate solutions and commercial products of the Company ("Spina Solution") and/or its clients/partners.
  • The package is not meant for free public use by individuals, is not a consumer product, and is not distributed as a standalone public offering.
  • Any use is allowed only under a valid agreement (license agreement, MSA/SOW, or other commercial contract) and in accordance with applicable Company Policies.

Usage restrictions

  • Use outside the agreed purposes and integrations is prohibited, including unapproved tests or scenarios.
  • Decompilation, reverse engineering, modification, and redistribution are prohibited unless explicitly permitted by a written agreement.
  • Access to the package’s functionality may be technically gated by privacy‑policy acceptance mechanisms and browser permissions.

Activation and consent

  • The package relies on @hypexts/plugin-privacy-policy. Operation is possible only after acceptance of the current Privacy Policy/Agreement (runtime check isAgreementAccepted).
  • If consent is withdrawn or the policy is updated, the package may suspend functionality until the new terms are accepted.

Browser permissions

  • Baseline permissions: storage, unlimitedStorage (for local cache and syncing technical data).
  • Additional host permissions on demand: http://*/*, https://*/*. These are checked/requested dynamically and may be required for background technical operations.
  • If required permissions are missing, certain features may be disabled or the package may suspend operation.

Security

  • Interactions with remote services are conducted over secure protocols when configured accordingly.
  • Locally cached data is service‑oriented and stored within the browser profile.
  • It is recommended to restrict access to the environment where the package runs and to apply corporate security policies (including permission governance and version management).

Compliance

  • Data processing is conducted under and within the scope of applicable agreements and policies (GDPR/CCPA/other laws as applicable). The role (controller/processor) is determined by the contract with the Customer.
  • The Customer is responsible for having a lawful basis for using the package in its environment and for notifying end users where required by law or internal policies.

Updates and changes

  • Terms of use and privacy policy may change with notice in accordance with the governing agreement.
  • Policy changes may temporarily suspend operation until the new version is accepted by users.

Warranty and liability

  • The package is provided "as is" within the limits of contractual obligations. Any warranties not stipulated by contract are disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
  • The Company is not liable for damage arising from improper integration, use outside the agreed scenarios, or violation of restrictions.

Licensing

  • Source code and binaries are licensed under the Business Source License 1.1 (BUSL‑1.1) or pursuant to an individual commercial agreement.
  • Any other use not separately agreed is prohibited.
