Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

spinyield

Sponsored status-line for Claude Code. It renders one unobtrusive sponsored line in your Claude Code status line and meters clean, attested impressions — you earn a 70% share of the ad revenue.

Install

npm install -g spinyield

or the one-liner:

curl -fsSL https://spinyield.com/install.sh | sh

Requires Node.js ≥ 20 (you already have it — Claude Code runs on Node). No native binary, no code signing, works on macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Setup

spinyield setup

Guided setup: signs you in, wires the Claude Code status line, shows a live preview, and — if you're coming from kickbacks — offers to uninstall it or pause it (reversible with spinyield kickbacks-restore).

Use

spinyield signin      # Google sign-in (one time)
spinyield install     # wire the Claude Code status line (non-destructive)

Open Claude Code — the sponsored line appears in the status line. That's it.

install is non-destructive: it backs up your existing ~/.claude/settings.json (statusLine, spinnerVerbs) and uninstall restores it byte-for-byte.
